硬铬电镀
Thick industrial hard chrome (5–500+ µm, HV 900–1100) for wear resistance, low friction, and dimensional restoration of worn parts.
Active Treatment provides hard chrome plating in Singapore for industrial components requiring wear resistance, low friction, or dimensional restoration. Also known as industrial chrome, this functional chromium deposit is applied at 5–500+ µm with published hardness of HV 900–1100.
Hard chrome is used on hydraulic cylinders, piston rods, shafts, dies, press tooling, rolls, and other load-bearing manufacturing equipment components. Its hardness, abrasion resistance, and dry coefficient of friction of approximately 0.15 support sliding and wear-critical surfaces in demanding industrial service.
Undersized or worn shafts, bores, and dies can be built up with hard chrome and then ground to the specified final dimension. Builds of 50–500+ µm per side are available for restoration work. Provide the drawing, incoming condition, and final dimensions so plating and machining allowances can be reviewed.
The published deposit range is 5–500+ µm on steel, cast iron, and copper alloys. Stainless steel requires special activation before chroming. Post-plate grinding is available to tight tolerances, and the required final size, surface finish, edges, masking, and grinding stock should be identified at quotation stage.
Hard chrome owns the functional requirement: wear resistance, low friction, and dimensional build. Thin decorative flash chrome plating is the correct service for a bright cosmetic finish with negligible dimensional change, while Black Chrome plating is used where a dark, low-reflectivity appearance is required. See the Singapore chrome plating comparison for a process overview.
Send the substrate and grade, drawings, quantity, incoming surface condition, operating and wear conditions, target deposit thickness, final dimensions and tolerances, surface-finish or grinding requirements, masking areas, and delivery date. Active Treatment will review the component and provide a hard chrome plating quotation.

Hard chrome plating is used for industrial components that need wear resistance, low friction, and dimensional restoration — such as hydraulic cylinders, piston rods, dies, press tooling, and rolls. The thick (5–500+ µm), HV 900–1100 coating makes it ideal as a wear-resistant chrome coating for high-load mechanical parts.
Yes, though stainless requires a special activation (Wood's nickel strike) before chroming to ensure adhesion. Please specify the grade when ordering.
Hexavalent chromium is regulated under REACH and RoHS. While it remains in use for specific high-performance applications, we can discuss HVOF tungsten carbide or electroless nickel alternatives for clients requiring RoHS-compliant solutions.
Yes. This is one of the most common uses of hard chrome. We can build up 50–500+ µm per side, then grind to your specified diameter. Please provide the drawing with final dimensions.
Standard lead time is 5–7 working days including pre-plate and post-plate grinding. Express service is available for critical components.
